Dr. William Crevier
Dr. William Crevier serves as a physician as well as the President and Medical Director of the Center for Primary Healthcare. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed his residency at Loyola Medical Center. Dr. Crevier is board certified in both Internal Medicine (Adult Medicine) and Pediatrics. In addition to his work at the Center for Primary Healthcare, Dr. Crevier has also been an advocate for access to care and has served as the founding executive director of two Christian Community Health Centers.
Dr Crevier strives to make sure that, in all areas of practice, we don’t look past the person in our efforts to address a medical problem. Though our primary expertise is in medicine and our job is to keep our patients healthy, we also try to acknowledge our patient’s social, emotional, and spiritual needs through our care.
When Dr. Crevier is not taking care of patients, he enjoys taking his wife and six children on long hiking treks into remote wilderness areas in search of breathtaking scenic views.

Carol serves as the administrator for the Center for Primary Healthcare. Carol is a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rush University and a master’s degree in public health from UIC. She has wide experience in nursing and administration, especially in home healthcare, medical nursing, and practice management.
Joel is the Business Manager for the Center for Primary Healthcare, and has served the practice since 2011. You can usually find Joel working behind the scenes on administrative work, ensuring that the Center for Primary Healthcare stays ahead of the rapid technological and regulatory changes that confront the healthcare industry. This includes making sure that patient’s private health information is secure, managing the Center for Primary Healthcare’s participation in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s Meaningful Use Electronic Medical Record Program, and finding new ways to improve patient-doctor interactions through technology. When he is not working on projects for the Center for Primary Healthcare, Joel enjoys woodworking, tinkering with technology, and reading academic philosophy.
Lois has over 40 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, and she has been with the Center for Primary healthcare for the last eighteen.
She enjoys caring for patients and her kind attitude contributes a great deal to ensuring that the Center for Primary Healthcare is a warm and welcoming place. Though she helps out with almost all areas of medical management, she is especially involved in making sure that the Coumadin doses for our patients are managed carefully and adjusted properly.
On Thursday–her day off from work at the Center for Primary Healthcare–, Lois devotes her time to James516 Ministries. The ministry was founded in 1998 by Lois and Charlene Proper-Smits. Together, they visit and minister to patients who are sick at home or have been admitted to the hospital.
Before working at the Center for Primary Healthcare, Lois worked on post-op units in various hospitals. She has been happily married for 42 years and is the mother of 2 children and three grandchildren.
Maria played a critical role during the early years of the Center for Primary Healthcare, and after a number of years working elsewhere in the healthcare industry, she has returned to work for the Center for Primary Healthcare in 2012.
Maria helps with the front desk administration and is also a part-time biller. Her extensive experience in the medical billing industry means that she can help you understand your EOB or answer any other questions you might have about your statement. In addition to her experience, Maria has a quick wit and a ready smile. She has a family of 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and has been married for 26 years.
Patti is the Center for Primary Healthcare’s Medical Assistant and also helps the front desk.
Patti is wonderfully energetic and helps advocate for our patients when different procedures and tests need pesky pre-authorization from insurance companies. She also helps to remind all our patients to make sure they schedule all of their needed preventative screenings. Besides being an excellent medical assistant, Patti is also a part-time clown! As a clown, her name is Dimples, and if you ask very nicely she will twist you a balloon after the doctor is done seeing you. Patti always has a ready smile, and is a proud mom to three grown children and one granddaughter, having been married for 30 years.
Rosie is the smiling voice you will hear if you call to make an appointment.
As the management head of the clerical staff, Rosie makes sure that everything runs smoothly at our front desk. Rosie has an excellent understanding of the medical system and is capable of finding an answer to almost any question you might have. She has been with the Center for Primary Healthcare for the past 6 years and enjoys her work here. In addition to being married for 25 years, Rosie is the proud mom to 2 children.
